drift_bear
my mate has asked me to help him find a car, he needs it to be professional lookingg for his job (he vists alot of clients to the firm) and also wants a decent performance aswell. He has a budget of £10k to spend, what would you recommend? he have seen a couple of 350Z's that he likes but are still looking around, 1 of the 350's he has seen is this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3029078.htm im not normally a fan of them, but that i really like lol. SamuraiFlash
That is a nice looking 350Z but I wouldn't say its "professional looking". If your mate wants to look "professional", he will have to go for something like a big engined BMW/Audi etc Boring but professional.

drift_bear
My mate is 24 so can't really go for a big bmw/merc/audi for obvious reasons

How about a nice stockish s2000, he's a younger guy so I doubt they are going to expect him to be driving a jag or whatever, s2000 is a good all rounder imo and he should be able to get a good one for £10k
Havard
Can we have a bit more info please? Sorry, if I went to see customers in a car like that I wouldn't expect to see much business.... What does he do, does he claim back mileage etc? I think an nice understated car is the way forward. Customers can be funny buggers at times. My A4 S-line has caused a couple of people to accuse me that my company is making too much money. H.
Swampy442
VW Phaeton, Audi S8, BM 5 or 7 series, dont see why insurance would be any worse on those than an S2000 or 350Z

caseys
As he said. If you worked as a liquidator of companies you wouldn't want to turn up in a Porsche. No, you'd want something a bit more understated like a Lambo 640SV or a Zonda. BMW 3-Series Coupe? An M-sport diesel even?

Abz
As mentioned it depends who his clients are. If I wanted to impress and let them know we are the best and doing well for a company, I'd get this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2894888.htm It's cheaper than his budget so then he can afford the insurance....and the fuel! That is an awful lot of car for the money but if he is rep driving and seeing cleints then sure a diesel is more appropriate. Did you see the recent episode of Top Gear where Clarkson was driving one of those and everyone thought they were £20K plus. Customers are fickle, especially in a recession. We still don't know what his mate does for a living. If he is a drug dealer then the Merc is ideal. H.
