In sad fashion, I have already begun pricing of mods :( the list so far:

Reversing camera

AMP and sub - tempted to do this, just not sure yet...

Vinyl wrap of interior trim (not sure on colour yet, but the silver reflects badly)

Vinyl wrap of exterior trim (mirrors and all grey bits to carbon)

Calipers painted (the standard brembo orange brown is hiddeous)

Y-Pipe (get rid of some of the heat and louden up the exhaust note - very quiet at standard)

Drop-in panel filters

Cobbs unit

Full protection detail

Ah so you where the man with it at pod! looks stunning mate bet your over the moon.

I have a video of my mate videoing the famous G6 supra pretending to shoot it (being a general fool) then you drive past and he says (in a very perverted voice) "Ooooo where did you come from?"

Yeah ;) Yes over the moon!! Gets better and better every time I drive it. Is the video uploaded? Link?

Unfortunately, I could not stay long, had to be back in Surrey. Got to see Jamie do his 10.1 so happy days.

Probably worth getting in touch with Jurgen about this. I doubt many people in the uk know the R35 like he does, and certainly the sub/amp will require a fair bit of the interior removing.

Of course... He helped with the decision to buy the car in the first place :D

also do you really need a sub and amp looking at the pics it has audio components made by BOSE they should be pretty good already?

probably not, the sound system is ok (lacks decent base), its not fantastic. I have a sub and amp (both new) sitting at home gathering dust, so might have them fitted, but not sure yet.

Stunning mate! I am very VERY close to getting a 2010 model (used) but put off by high maintanence cost (service every 2500 miles) and huge repair bills if anything goes wrong (lots of moaning about the factory warranty).

Out of curiousty...why amp and sub? Don't the GTR already come with an excellent BOSE setup with subs? Whoops...just read earlier posts :)

I am all for the pipes those that will really make the car sound much better. (Maybe full SS exhaust setup + Full decat as well? :D)

One thing that will dramatically improve the GTR's look are wheels but I also think the factory one does the job already :)

cheers :)

I know people that have had no issues with warranty claims, but the chance of things going wrong, is why I bought new.

Wheels and tyres are going to cost a fortune :D but it is on my list of things for later....

  • 2 weeks later...

Going to keep updating this thread with pics, videos and any upgrades :)

OOHHH! Dibs on a passenger ride at the next Supra Pod. Bet you can't wait to try that out.

Will try and get a couple of GTRs through to the next one ;)

Some more pics from the weekend... now up to 910 miles, 290 to go, then optimisation service and then straight in for drop-in filters, ypipe and cobbs (hopefully with the new gearbox and launch control software), plus some vinyl wrapping and a protection detail :D

Quick update...

Went to SRR yesterday with a couple other GTRs :D

I got 499.5bhp from a stock 2010 GTR, stock figures are 475-480, so Im rather happy with that! Car has also been dropped off at ValetMagic for a load of work including the ypipe, K&N panel filters and a Cobb AccessPort :D

I heard the GTR is really tuneable (simple breathing mods and remap will see mid 500...). Looking good there wish I can afford a GTR too :(

Apparently... car is in for some panel filters (set of 2 £90), ypipe (£460 fitted) and a cobbs remap (£1160), so will get it over to SRR soon after to see how it compares, though I doubt it will be anywhere near as hot as yesterday (25 degrees :D). So for around £1600 it should make a decent number (Im hoping for aaround 520), but after the map increases the boost, might be higher :D

these are one of the best cars on the market at the moment, great car

its a fantastic car, very very happy with it!!! In my mind, its the best car on the market..............................................................................

Went to Surrey Rolling Road, car made 542bhp with the above mods.

Changing the setup slightly, sold the Cobbs (will take panel filters out till remapped again), in favor of RyanG and his EcuTek magic. Before the remap, Im going to change the downpipes and the rest of the exhaust to the GTC titan (might change the ypipe as well) and then putting the filters back in :)

Car will be at the Charity Dyno day (with some other GTRs)!!
