SupraAyf
Hey guys, I have just picked up one of these, illustrated below, but I won't see it until I return home in August. The bike had a stationary drop a while back while in storage and the paintwork is slightly scuffed around the area where the main fairing bolt retainer is located, plus, there are two scratches on the left panel ; one will polish out and the other has just penetrated the paint to the plastic base (all according to my wife). I'm conscious of the fact that old panels will have paint fade of some degree so touch-ups are never a good option but has anyone tried this before: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUZUKI-TOUCH-UP-PAINT-KIT-98-HAYABUSA-BRONZE-SILVER-/290014122430?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item43863051be Also, have any of you guys had a fairing panel restored by a body shop recently as I would be interested to know how much it cost you to fix? Cheers all, Andrew
ronttuk
I always bought second hand replacement panels cheaper than getting it painted and a better match
SupraAyf
I always bought second hand replacement panels cheaper than getting it painted and a better match Good idea. I have tried a few places but I haven't found anything in A1 condition yet. I phoned Suzuki today and they quoted me £695 just for the left panel!! Having a laugh or what. SupraAyf
ebay? There's one on at the moment but it isn't much better than the panel I already fitted - it's only 75 quid though.
