Slippery
Have seen a few threads on here about people having a missfire through using different types of fuel so was wondering if this had any connection with mine. So does anyone have problems with using shell v power all the time or any other petrol.
Gaz6002
Mine worked perfectly on V Power at stock, BPU and single levels. Do you have a different ECU? Have you checked your spark plugs? It may also be an issue with coilpack connectors.
Jamesy
Was going to say possible coil packs or spark plugs. Although my wifes car (Cupra R Leon) runs like a bag of cr@p with anything other than super unleaded...has it been mapped for a certain fuel do you know? AJI
In my area the local franchise Shell garage seems to be selling 'different' v-power to other areas of the UK. I wrote a post about this a while back, but to cut a long story short, many sportscar owners in the area suspected the franchinse garage of selling cheapo octance fuel in the v-power pumps. There was various evidence for this but when customs&excise went to investigate they must have pre-announced their arrival (which sometimes they do apparently) as the tanks had usual v-power when they checked. (Well they didn't actuall do a chemical check actually, all they did was look at the delivery notes and take the garage manager's word that nothing was wrong ) So, if you don't find any other obvious issues then this could be something to bear in mind. Nothing surprises me this day and age. If thats true, is the owner aware of the damage he may cause to hyper-expensive engines? I doubt it, the pri...........
