hogmaw
ah cool cool im in abingdon so not that far from you, it was more really as there not many painters round here and they looks like a pukka job! what colour was it before or was it just a freshen up? Just a freshen up, same colour as before but like I said 15 years worth or wear and tear and the niggley marks/scratches etc start to become an issue. hogmaw
Looks great What is the paint code? Dunno offhand but it's the stock gunmetal grey, if you search the board I am sure there will be the code somewhere

Ibrar Jabbar
Looks very nice Gerald and get a good sealant coat on the polished rims. PS. I can supply H&R spacers if required.
Si_s Supe
Can I make a suggestion... Now you've had it resprayed, invest in some good quality stone chip prevention film for the front end. My Dad has just had his Volvo V70R painted and had this film put on by this guy http://www.paintgard.co.uk/index.html Done a really fantastic job. And, unless it was pointed out to you, you would not even know it's there! It also means you can happily drive the car without worrying about that 1st (of many more!) stone chip! If I ever had the few chips I have done on my car, it would go from the bodyshop straight to him!

dandan
Same colour as before, gunmetal grey, which many say is the best colour for the Supra Nice job on the respray - looks lovely and great colour Haha thought you might not realise there are 2 similar OEM grey colours: 1B9 Quicksilver (mine) http://www.jamiecarl.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/wpid-JAZ_0812.jpg 6N0 Moonstone (a mate's) http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m25/dustinp100/Volk%20GTC/IMG_2029.jpg That second pic looks very light for 6NO....must just be the light. Mine looks more like the OP's. Edited October 2, 2013 by dandan (see edit history)
sdistc
Yeah, Dan - it's hard to get a good comparative photo of the two colours (same light, same angle etc), but your photo is better at showing the moonstone. I still haven't heard a good reason for Toyota to make two colours so similar!
hogmaw
Yes Quicksilver is much lighter and more silvery Are you saying moonstone is different to gunmetal? I've never heard of moonstone before
sdistc
Yes Quicksilver is much lighter and more silvery Are you saying moonstone is different to gunmetal? I've never heard of moonstone before Well, I've not heard the actual paint-code people are referring to when they speak of "gunmetal"... but the Supra, to my knowledge, only comes in pre-facelift 199 Alpine Silver, facelift 1B9 Quicksilver FX, and facelift 6N0 Moonstone Pearl (also known as Grayish Green Mica Metallic) as variants of silver. hogmaw
In that case moonstone and 'gunmetal' are the same... if moonstone is the official name, I think most people refer to it as gunmetal
