BodyBuilding/Weight training ?

I know mate, I have the will power and plenty of determination, just thought i'd see some sort of results after a good few months! Maybe i'm not doing it right in the gym! I haven't even had a cheat day! The guys in work wanted a burger king the other day but I just couldn't do it! Looked nice too! :(

 

 

 

Funny, a (sort of) mate is a personal trainer at the gym I go to. I did some work on his car the other week and in return he said he'd do me a few sessions. Since then he's disappeared off the face of the earth. Bugger!

 

I'll have to give the BSN a try dude, been using Extreme Nutrition Pro-6. It has done really well at taking the hunger away and tastes real good (they just changed from milk chocolate to rich chocolate, so not quite as nice!) Happy to try anything that may help..

 

Thank you both for your help! Maybe one day i'll be able to say it worked!

 

If all else fails find the meatheads in the gym and ask what supplements they are on !!!!!

9st 12 !!!!! Im only 5ft 10 and im close to 15st in that pic and I have skinny legs if I got to 11st I would look like im about to die! Are you sure thats the weight you want to be.

 

Well I'm 5"7/8 26 and I started training when I weighed just under 7 stonnes, I now weigh slightly under 11 stonnes but train hard and eat well as I can. I have put enough thought that when I'm 35 if I do not reach 12 and half stonnes I might consider injections as a lot of my dads mates are bodybuilders aswell as my brothers Mates. Here's me now I supplement on gaspari products, a lot of my steroid mates say they are the closest supplements to steroids, I love them :). If I took roids I reckon I would pop.

I've been training since I was 17 (12 years ago)... 5ft 10 and around 16st 2lb at the min. I used to work as a PT and gym manager before I started teaching freestyle martial arts around 7 years ago. There is some good advice in this thread, but remember that all the stuff here is other peoples experience, things that work for them might not work for you. My 2p's worth is don't waste your money on all these expensive "supplements" just yet. Get yourself some cheap protien powder and eat plenty of good foods. It amuses me how people spend £50+ a month on these things when they have only really started training recently. You've got to think back in the day people were getting big size from just eating chickens and eggs.

 

Find yourself a decent training partner, someone who is roughly same strength as you. This has always produced results for me, as it allows you to push yourself a little more in your workout.

Back in the days there were no such things as supplements, this guy who works with me is massive he used to be a pro bodybuilder etc. I tell him about all these supplements and he just laughs, he tells me back the the days there were no such things and it's all about steroids and growth hormones.

I'm sure the entire gym is on something! I'm literally the only one who isn't! Plus I wear a long sleeved top there as I'm embarrased to wear a short one!

 

I don't think I could bring myself to inject anything as I'd crap myself that I would hit something I shouldn't or do it wrong!

Yea I know it sounds small to you giants :D, but I have always thought around the 10stone mark was the right weight for me, also just to back track a bit I did say I wasn't looking to get big, nothing against it and I have massive respect for the fellas that push themselves to get to that sort of peak condition, but I just don't feel it would suit me I just wanted a bit of muscle definition to loose the belly and moobs which I have done though would like a bit more in the abs. The only problem I have now is I am shit scared of putting it all back on.

Whats the measurement around your arm? You are either lying about your weight or your actually about 4 foot tall, your arms look alot bigger than mine!

 

If that's me, I don't know but I swear I'm 5"7/8 and slightly under 11 stonnes, my genetics are not so good considering I started at under 7 stonnes 5 years back.

Steroids and growth wont make you big ha ha Its the food you eat that does that ;) all the steroids and growth will do is allow you to train past your natural limits and genetics

I thought that. I weight 13 1/2 stone and my arms are not much off that

 

 

I think I blame my dad too! He is 5'11 and i'm 6ft. He is really fat (17 stone plus easy). I'm scared to death to be like him so never really been a junk food man.. So, i'm 6ft and according to my parents scales i weighed 10 stone as of March this year... Since then, stuck to big G's diet he sent me religiously, not even a chocolate bar, packet of crisps, nothing. Been going to the gym 3 times a week and till now i'm seeing no results at all. The wife says i've filled out but to be honest I feel horrible! Feel worse now than when I started. Feel I now carry excess weight, look terrible and with the big amounts of protein intake every day, my arse smells terrible! Not been to the gym for over a week now as it's depressing. Especially when I go to the gym and i'm the only skinny dude there! All the guys in work call me anorexic and take the hit and miss that I go to the gym and see nothing!

 

I must be one of those that naturally can't do it!

 

You sound massively underweight for your hight mate. I would try adding in an extra few calories until you start gaining mate, maybe an extra few bannanas in the day or a handful of nuts. Remember though the harder you train the more calories your body needs to refuel. If you are not getting enough calories your body is going to call upon other sources from the body which is usually muscle so you end up losing what you have gained

 

 

Your last statement is tosh.....I used to think this until I started training properly and eating like a machine. Get a good 6months to a year of solid and consistent training and never under eat and come back a post your results. I can garauntee you will suprise yourself

I remember my brothers friend he started training same time as me but he took the root of steroids,he's tripple the size of me ripped as anything. He is always telling me to take them but I guess being slightly scared stopped me at this current time, although I'm happy with the gaspari supplements that even my girlfriend thought I was taking steroids. Like I stated try the gaspari products you will see how awesome they really are.

I`ve trained for 15years now.

 

Steroids are basically either one of two things...

 

1) A short cut

 

2) When you reach the maximum natural peak (which is hard to reach) then you can go over this

 

- Without the correct diet, training and rest patterns you will never get the most out of yourself this applies for with or without steroids.

 

- Steroids are totally media destroyed, yes in large quantities without rest periods or years of use they will be a detriment to your health just as smoking/drinking etc would be but used in the right way they can help massively

 

My 2p is this (and i`ve taken tabs but never jabbed) it is very, very (repeat)... hard to get huge without taking steroids, and when i say huge, i don`t mean 'some nice size', or 'ripped' or '16inch arms' etc i mean massive. Even with steroids it is very difficult, but it is an aid and from what i have seen, you will put on double the weight with a course of steriods and proper PCT (after therapy to keep gains) than the natural way.

 

Problem is this.... the gains you get are addictive.

Yea they were recent since iv been on the gaspari products that have made me bigger and lean then before, like I stated before try superpump250, sizeon and combine plasmajet then see the gains and pumps.

Thanks, it's frustrating when you can not get past your genetic level naturally, and more frustrating not wanting to take steroids, but since cycling on the gaspari range, like stated I could not be more happier my body feels more muscular then any other product on the market iv tried. Here's a picture of how skinny I was, I still am slim in my mind but better then what I was 6 years back. Thing I love about my physic is people think I'm skinny because my face and body frame is small, until I take my jacket of with a nice t-shirt, changes their views :).

Hi,

 

All I can suggest is plan ahead, and give advice from my own experiences with BB. Get yourself a good clean diet - usual stuff, Chicken, Fish, Lean beef, Tuna, Turkey, eggs, Sweet potatoes, Veg etc and just eat roughly every 2 to 3 hours.

 

Add extra Calories with Protein shakes, oatmeal, peanut butter and Flaxseed oil. If you want to get into other supplements then try things like Creatine

Monohydrate. As others have said stay away from HGH and all that bollox! Truth be told, you wont get to look like the Kia Greene's and Victor Martenez's of the world without Steroids, but they need that shit to fit their testicles into their posing pouches !!

 

EAT EAT EAT is the key, eat before bed also, a good slow releasing food like cottage cheese etc so your body can grow.

 

Train no more than 3 times a week, as you will over train and get nowhere! I know from experience!!

 

And get plenty of rest, at least 8 hours sleep if possible.

 

Best site i've used for Supplements etc is http://www.myprotein.com, Cheap as chips and fast delivery - use DPD as they give you a 1hr delivery slot.

 

One last thing, Google Rugby players diets and training. if you see one you like try it, if it doesn't work for you try another.

 

You don't necessary need to include plyometrics into your workout as they will, but it gives you a good understanding of some of the basics.
