Sometimes there are no words.... yet more mindless damage to my car.. (not the Supra)

Ok so not the Supra but my daily driver so still something thats going to cost me money to fix... again

Just finished watching a film when the police drove past the window with the blues on, so i went outside to investigate (as it does not usually happen).

When i went outside they walked over to me and asked if i had seen anyone walk past earlier as there was a report that someone was kicking in a blue car...

Yep you guessed it the blue car was mine !!

Went over to look at it and it looks like whatever mindless *Enter word here* has decided to kick both of my wing mirrors off and proceeded to scrape the paint on the doors and bonnet.

Now i am not as angry as if it was the Supra but still... why! I mean its not a car which is noticeable is it.. i mean you dont see a Bog standard deisel Blue Ford focus and then decide to kick it because your Jealous you dont have one do you? No!!!... most people would just walk past and not even notice it was there.

Now i got to source some new mirror units, off to the breakers tomorrow, where i will be raped for cash for some 2nd hand ones.

Not very happy :( - Film was crap too.

At least the police came out. That's pretty terrible though.

There must have been a reason for this as it's an inconspicuous car. Have you cut anyone up or annoyed anyone on the road? Maybe they thought the car belonged to someone they have issues with.

Not saying you've done anything at all, just wondering.

Are you kidding me?? This kinda senseless B.S really pisses me off.

Honestly, if I ever caught someone in the act doing that I would go all Saw III on them.

Sorry to hear about this man. Hope everything gets sorted out soon.

Sometimes I am glad we live in a quiet cul de sac. It goes without saying that I would lose my mind if I ever saw someone doing that to my or anyones car for that matter.

It's almost becoming acceptable that people will have a few jars and damage something on the way home. If it isn't a car then it would have been a phone box or glass bus shelter. Maybe if the penalties for mindless violence were stronger we wouldn't have this problem.

Sorry to hear this. Some people don't deserve to live in civilised society.

Did they speak to the informant? Get a description, direction of travel?

Well apparantly the police were driving past the road behind my house when they got notification of the incident, so they were pretty hot on getting to it however the ******** had allready scarpered.

I think they are still in contact with the informant so hopefully there will be more light shed on this soon, had to cover the front of the car in bin bags this morning to stop the rain washing off the fingerprints of where they lent on the bonnet to support their weight to kick the mirror off.

The forensic team are supposed to be coming out to me today before 4.30pm so hopefully they will find something that is useful.

Shame, but often the case.

The main issue you will have with any prints found will be the fact that anyone can claim they walked past and touched the car. It wont amount to definitive proof of causing the damage. Ultimately unless the informant can positively ID the suspect its a bit of a lost cause I'm afraid.

Lets just hope he/she bust their foot or hand.

terrible, no respect for others peoples property. Hope they catch the *****. Not that they will do anything other than give them a bed for the night and breakfast, but you may find out who they are and break parts of them off.

As said finger prints won't do anything, I have been told this with all the problems with the van and also when someone tried to nick the keys through the letter box, Anyone can touch it walking past.

Police are not coming out till tomorrow now, i dont hold much hope for getting the ***** that did it.

I have managed to refix the passenger side however it will still need replacing, I have also managed to source a mint condition 2nd hand drivers side mirror for a good price of £42 :) from a local breakers so will fit that tomorrow.

So not all bad, however I would rather have spent £42 on a nice meal out for me and the missus.
