Dragonball
Hi Guys I have a linksys wireless router in top of the house (attic conversion) which basically is ok (but not brilliant) as have now moved my office to downstairs. I have seen these home plug-in network systems and wondered whether this should provide me with enough to run my main computer, and possibly two other laptops at one time (on diffrent floors - hence why hardwiring not an option)) Internet is Virgin hardwired Your thoughts and recommendation (if appropriate) appreciated Cheers :-) Paul
neo2810
Homeplugs are excellent if your house wiring is a decent standard. You can run as many as you need to. They are plug and play as well...

imi
Check that your laptops are set to use DHCP for their IP Addressing on the wired interface. check to see if they are picking up an IP address from the network, if not then there is your issue. if they are picking up a correct IP address and they still cant surf the web, then its perhaps a DNS issue.
