David P
. Now some of the bespoke supercharger components are going on, some of the bespoke N/A components are coming off. The cold-air box began life as a Max-Air box for a T.T. which I have modified to fit an N/A and attaches to O.E. fixings. https://www.speedforsale.com/supraparts/max-air-max-air-intake-box-p-832.html?osCsid=ni018hct38c8kfnhm1q1isi4u3 The 3-4-3 induction plenum I have fabricated using silicone hose connectors. (Fitting requires removal of the spot welded tag for O.E. air filter) (3"-4" 90o, 4"-4" 45o, 4"-3" 45o adaptors @ £33 each, 10mm neoprene tape £25, silicone adhesive £8, 4" shrink tube £10, alloy tape £5, s.s. clamps £5.) Totting up, the components alone have cost more than £400 and I have spent many hours tinkering to develop and perfect it. I will be sad to see this cool sucker go. This system is proven and a reliable fit using the O.E. cold air feeds, or with a 4" cold feed upgrade, there are plenty more pics of this in my garage. I have cleaned all the components and recovered the insulation, it's as good as new, or when I made it. Cold air and lots of it, I can't put a price on this unique system, so put it up for auction. Auction closes 21.15 hrs (edited to not clash with Top Gear ) Sunday 10th July, where (pending reserve) it will be sold to the highest bidder. Buyer collects or £12 P&P U.K. mainland. This pic shows it under construction, the centre section is thicker material and the silicone adaptors are butt joined and seamless inside. This pic shows it with O.E. rad, O.E, cold air feeds and less insulation on induction. This pic shows final developments, including 10mm neoprene insulation and a 4" cold air feed. (Can still be ducted with O.E. air feeds) Optional upgrade finishes off the job nicely.

jackso11
does that little bos around the cone actually do anything?
David P
does that little bos around the cone actually do anything? It holds the filter together, it forms a ram pipe, it has a captive nut in the centre which can be used for mounting and it stops the filter getting damaged when working near it. Quite a busy little bos.

SamuraiFlash
Well thought out induction system, I like the air scoop from the front bumper.
David P
Well thought out induction system, I like the air scoop from the front bumper. The coolest freest flowing N/A sucker on the planet. Should I have not been challenged to build the M112 conversion, I planned to replace the N/A 68mm throttle body and feed this through a 1UZ-FE 72mm version, giving more bhp without loss of torque. David P
Sounds interesting can you explain this a little more Weld a 1UZ-FE throttle body flange and a T.T. ICV boss onto an N/A 'Y' branch, then use the almost plug&play Lexus 72mm t.b. instead of stock 68mm. This would allow more air at high rpm without interfering with the ACIS valve. David P
I lost my internet connection before 21.15 last night, but it looks as though I didn't miss anything. Excuse me jake, but £35 is below my reserve, I would prefer to keep it for components than part with it for that price.
