Lbm
It's probably safer leaving the car with the £5 car wash guys in the Supermarket carparks. Yes there will be the inevitable damage to the paintwork, but maybe slightly less than otherwise.

Have seen them giving ferari masersti and astons a wash too. Though oddly never see a porche there.

Also I carefully watched one chap clean all around the wheels of an Astra (IIRC) and then proceed to use the same rag on the front wing.... *cue nails down blackboard* in a Wile. E. Coyote cartoon. Dnk
I hate carparks! My Qashqai + 2 was damaged at 3 months old with a big dent in the door and the paint taken off in sainsburries car park, they would have definately heard it and just driven off...spineless cowards! My Aristo was driven into in xmas eve, caved in the rear drivers side door - yes, they drove off! spineless cowards!!!! This is the worst one, someone drove into my wing mirror and broke it clean off on my old supra, then they drove off!! spineless cowards! rant over :-) Lazy git! :-) Going by your above post it makes sense for you to have your shopping delivered and has nothing to do with being lazy, think of all the stress and damage to vehicles you wont suffer anymore. Makes sense to me I've never had any damage done in Tesco's etc

Guigsy
I have sat and watched plenty of times on my lunch breaks. If they drop a drying towel they put it in a "dirty" bin and pick up a new one. And pick up a clean one for each car. They do the same with sponges. They have a half size shipping container full of them lol. they even have there own CCTV incase a random old bint reverses too far into the car while in there care. Quite impressive. there is another one I use sometimes who are just as good but don't get the same shine! But you stay in your car for that one which I don't like because you can't always see what they are uptoHmmm...I've only ever seen them use the 'one bucket of dirty water' method. marc_p
Shame on you. You might not have any dents, but others do, possibly including the OP, because you park there!!! Using up these spaces means some poor parent has no other option but to use the normal, narrow spaces, so it's no wonder they bash their car doors against others trying to get kids out. I really couldn't care less tbh, I have had parking dents before, it's because the parking spaces are too narrow over here and the only spaces that actually give me/other people plenty of room to get out are disabled and parent and child spots, say what you want but I would rather some other persons car gets whacked by a door than mine. Shallow? Yes, Causing inconvinience for others? Yes, Dents in doors? No, Happy? Yes

ripped_fear
I always park miles away from the shop, either in a corner or next to a lamp post or something, so you only have to worry about one side. Although the locals round my way love to come find me and park next to me! So now I have taken to parking over two spaces and to hell with what people think. As for parking in parent and child pays they are always next to the shop entrances, and normally next to lots of trolleys that people could not be bothered to put back, so I would never park in them as I have seen to many trolleys get blown into the people doors... NOT cool.
marc_p
See my previous post :-) The CCTV covers Disabled/Parent and child more than any other car parking spot So if some scum ever did key the car, they would be caught on CCTV. Just for that comment though, I'm going to start taking up 2 parent and child spots

Just for that comment though, I'm going to start taking up 2 parent and child spots haha! The best thing would be to buy a shitter and take that to the shops....You could park it anywhere you like then! sods law applies there though and you probably wouldn't get a single mark on it! Very rarely have parking dents I've maybe had 2 while I've had the supra. If you can't get in and out of a supra in a normal space you need more practice or your not trying hard enough

d-_-b
I like to park my supra in the middle of two mother and child bays just to be safe. lmao, could almost park width ways across them with 2. Unfortunatly supe's seem to attach cars to them when it comes to parking - you park away from the entrance and you always get people who reverse up right next to you to park. >
Westy
I always try and park in the furthest away point from the store as I can to avoid this. Most people are to lazy to walk and usually there are no cars near me, but I appreciate it only takes on idiot!

vertex
I parked in two bays in gallions reach, east London. it was away from the shops and there was plenty of spaces closer but I didn't want to be dinged. when I returned I had a fine from UKPC who run the free car park. looked at my car cctv and sure enough some sod was taking pictures of my car and stuck a ticket on. luckily its a non enforceable fine so they can die slow. Attero
I'll tell you my latest annoyance. I was going somewhere to meet a few people at the pub, so what I do is find a nice spot to hide my car. I found a hidden car park which was occupied by only a couple of other cars. I parked behind a big land rover. As I turned the engine off I noticed a few boys coming from behind the car. They weren't chavs or anything so I didn't think much of it. Anyway, I sat there waiting for them to pass by. One of them was on a BMX bike. They came past the car but the boy on the bike thought it was a great idea to not go through all the empty space, but to balance his bike between the front of my car and the land rover. I was furious and confused as to why he had to do this! And then suddenly, tap! Lost balance and tapped my number plate! Needless to say, I got out and shouted at them but they ran off! Now I know it's only a tap but for gods sake! Why does nobody have any sense! DO NOT TOUCH OTHER PEOPLES PROPERTY! I don't even have to leave my car and it's being touched. And this is the reason why I hate everyone until proven good.
