No.

Two different sites...both with the same goals (to allow the supra community to communicate/learn/share/help). It's too long a story to explain why there are 2 lets just call it a difference of opinion and leave it at that.

No, nothing to do with us. As Alex says long story and they accidentally have just chosen to re-name their club the same as this one.
Accidentally my arse, they even had the nerve to e-mail me and tell me about it!

Hi

Just a brief email to update you all on a couple of things at the MKIV Supra Owners Club.

It has been a long time coming but at last we have moved to the new website at http://www.mkivsupraownersclub.com and with it moved to our new identity of MSOC - MKIV Supra Owners Club

I'm sensing tension here.... anyone going to dish the dirt? :blahblah:
The 'dirt' settled a long long time ago. Unfortunately despite our best efforts to live and forget, the :tumble: forum still try and get one over on us at every oppotunity. This is just their latest attempt.

Ohhh, right, you mean that forum. I thought this was some other one I'd never found before!

What is the difference between a GZ, RZ & SZ?

There have been quite a few model changes on the MKIV Supra over the years, which make it hard to define exactly which model should come with what features. Also in Japan a lot of items were optional across the range.

One clear distinction is that the GZ & RZ models are all twin turbo cars, whereas the SZ cars are naturally aspirated; this also applies for the later versions i.e. RZ-S and SZ-R.

Pfffft, not a patch on my spinky Excel chart :)

something to do with martin f ?just guesing

Yeah - its Martins site.

He used to be on here but fell out with Branners who owns this site, and decided to start his own.

A few people from here (me included) were banned from registering on his new site, but since then a lot of members who originally supported Martin's site (including some of his early moderators), have decided to come back over to this one. There are also people who post on both sites who are unaware of any split.

Unfortunately, Martin seems to have issues with certain members of this community, and will grab any opportunity to bad mouth them with only the flimsiest of evidence.

Shame really, as I thought he was an ok bloke ( he even sent me a couple of eps cd's free of charge).

After all, if we have 500 members and he has 100, that's still only 600 Supra owners in the UK. Maybe it's best if we all get on........
