Branners
if anybody else is planning a convoy please feel free to add a reply to this thread and I will update the first post. If you can try to tie it in to the timings for the main convoy please. Im assuming there will be a convoy from Dartford, one from around Heathrow, one from around Coventry, possibly one from J15a of the M1 and Im not sure about any others...so post here if you are planning one. If you need help working out timings let me know. JB
terribleturner
I'll probably meet at South Mimms, but if anyone wants to meet at the Runnymead Hotel, Heathrow area, let me now.

Branners
to get to Mimms for 8am I would suggest leaving Runnymead at about 7.30am. Post up a post code for where it is and I will add it to the list. Convoy points from the North anybody? JB
Vaughany
Can we organise anything for J15A of the M1, we can then pick up all the guys and gals travelling down from Birmingham and further North. Who fancies meeting here?
Sharpie
Will all convoy's meet up and join the MAIN convoy ? What time does JAE start on the 24th and what time will the convoy get there ? Cheers JB
Branners
convoy from j15a is possible, its a fair trip over to Brampton services to meet the main convoy at about 40 minutes drive (Northampton to A14 at Thrapston and then across. The guys from the north (M6, M1 J20 and above) would probably come straight down the A14. It is possible to meet at the Shell services at the Thrapston junction of the A14. Thats where the road from Northampton meets the A14. I can try and work out the timings on that if anybody fancies stopping there. I would like to get as big a convoy as possible to Peterborough, its a 4 lane motorway on the A1 which should make for a great picture if anybody is up on a bridge.. The JAE event starts about 9.30am, Im hoping to get there for 10am and have the cars on the stand by 10.30am. JB
Jezz
I thought i'd best warn of the A605 from thrapston to the showground. This may prove a more direct route to the show for people heading from the west, but taking this road is a big NO NO!! This is quite possibly the worst road known to man! 40,yes 40mph limit for most of the way, with loads of cameras!! Brampton servs is by far the best option, with a good run up the four lane a1 to the showground.
AJI
Be a lot easier if everyone simply just meets up at the main convoy site at the specified time. People will no doubt be arriving at similar times along different routes.... mini convoys will form naturally en-route to the main convoy site. That is what has happened in my case for the past two years.
klump
A few of us down this way are going to meet up at the Medway service area on the M2. Not sure on time as yet but would think it would be 0630 - 0700 to be able to meet up and be ready to go with you guys at 0830.
Pete
Possible convoy from M6 J3 Coventry Services? For those travelling from the North West or West Mids how d'you fancy this? (Sunday) The AA reckons it'll take an hour to get to Huntingdon services from the M6 J2 Coventry services (see below), so we'd need to meet there at 0800 ish to leave at 0830? (Plenty of chance for a toilet stop/stragglers to arrive). This would total a cool 73 miles of convoy travelling.
