2002 TRD Supra for sale in Japan

If that had been a half decent spec single, I would have snapped this one up :( I'd have even considered it if it were completely stock in TRD rims.

I quite like the idea of the defy dash, but could certainly use some tidying. Its got a lot of potential either way, for someone with deeper pockets than me :)

All the pics underneath the one you posted, dont they enlarge to the size of the pic above ?

Ahh, not really sure what the links are for the rest as it uses Java to switch between them so no "right click" "properties" information.

ok no problem, i keep getting java error

is this a genuine TRD kitted car ?

The bumper looks OK, i've seen better, but the bonnet doesn't look right at all IMO.

It probably is genuine, a bit more care could have been taken when fitting it though.

It does not look like a genuine TRD car (You don't see the plate in the bay) but, it could be a genuine TRD kit that has been added to a Supra. (Two very different things, as we know)

This 2002 TRD Supra is really cheap for a 02' one. But that's just because it says "Restauration history: yes". In other words, this car has been in an accident and has been restored.
not 100% true, some times if a car has had modifications its also classed as restored..

the english google translator makes it sound rather different, i used to also think the same..

it depends what the dealer ticks on the ad option..

some use the restoration tick box for MODS and bodykits and some use it to say its had paint work or accident history,.

thanks

I am pretty sure this car must have been in an accident as the price is much too low compared to other 02' cars. They go for 3+ Mio Yen usually like this fine car: http://www.goo-net.com/usedcar/spread/goo/17/700100177420110701002.html which is also modified with a bodykit and FMIC etc.

This 02' is advertised for 3.69 Mio http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/search.php?CARC=TO_S086&AL=1&SORT=3 and this black one http://www.goo-net.com/usedcar/spread/goo/13/700050407720110616003.html 3.05 Mio

Being a genuine 02' RZ with a genuine TRD3000GT kit this car should see asking prices in the 3+ Mio range but it doesn't, even though the mileage is pretty high compared to the other 02-Cars.

Just to show you what the Japanese are really capable of when restoring a Supra: http://www.yoshihisa-style.com/s016-supra.html But I'd still have a strange feeling in the stomach driving around in a car that was formerly involved in a serious accident.
