This is driving me mad , one day i can drive the car and its great the next day the brake pedel goes rock hard and the brakes are binding so much so it hard to pull off some times . so i start off by checking the backs as i had never done anything with them , everything was ok so i put a new set of pads in anyway and greased all the usual areas . the front were put on at the start of the year , i went for the ls 400 brake a had the calipers recondictioned and new red stuff pads and new disc's , i have had the front brakes to bits and i could not see nothing wrong, but when its playing up its 100% just the front that are binding as i had the car on my local mot station brake rolls just to check.

Im thinking maybe the master cylinder but im not 100% sure where to go next .

Are you on the J specs?

These are notorious for binding. One of my fronts was recently when I got to Whifbitz.

Apparently it is something to do with the way they slide and Darren freed mine off by lubricating and moving the caliper forwards and backwards repeatedly.

The only real cure is to replace them with uk spec or aftermarket big brakes.

Hopefully I will be ordering some K sports next week.
