Hey everybody !!

I´m from austria and I want to know how operates the UK with vehicle registration, insurance, MOT (EASY to pass or not), Mods on your rides?

Driving without CAT... Is it possible, if it,.. how?

Insurance costs a Year / - part/comprehensive insurance- how much approx.?

The MOT-> How often (every 1,2,3 years...?) and are they strict and fussy??

(possible to "buy" the MOT..)

Modification on cars must be inscriped into the vehicle paper... ??

Many questions, but I consider to register the acutal and coming Supe to a cousin in UK..

I´m glad to get many answers from the pro´s =)

Thanks in advance...

Feel free to write many info´s.. =)

Mot test are all safety tests for your car, ie brakes corrosion, fuel and brakes lines etc, can be very easy to pass if you know the right people.

Most people remove the cat after mot and refit when the next one comes along.

Very expensive, all dependent your credentials.

(possible to "buy" the MOT..)

Every 12 months, they are not stupidly strict, and most supra's pass fairly easily.

Modification on cars must be inscriped into the vehcile paper... ??

Must be declared when you insure the car and the premium will be raised dependent on the mods.

no point repeating the above other than insurance will vary massively dependant on the individuals circumstances.

I pay £300 for my UK spec TT but others on here are paying £2000 +

It will pay you to shop around to get the best deal, try the club insurer on here Sky Ins along with Livingstones Warmen Ins who both insure mkiv's

so you are planning on registering your supra (in Austria) to a cousin of yours who lives here in the UK.

UK insured / UK plates

my supra is from UK.. and never been registered in a other state than the UK...

you can say... I drive the uk registered Supra from my cousin in austria, with a authorization from the cousin that I´m allowed to drive everwhere and anywhere(I´m the owner but not regstered to me ;-) )

you´ll understand..

In Austria you´ll never become a middle modified Supra registered(Fu**in' banana-state), or in such a modificated condition I want...

She works as a insurer....

Sorry what´s DVLA ??
