MaveriK
Liking this a lot, removing all the rubbish does seem to have improved my experience. Have you also had trouble with Go SMS on it, dont think they have got it working correctly with ICS yet.
Abz
Does anybody experience the phone turning itself off periodically, it shuts down, reboots itself then awaits for you pin code Mine does this the odd time but my friends new on is once a week; Mine has the latest firmware Mine has done this a couple of times, also the annoying one is when you switch the phone off it doesn't actually switch off all the time. I think I must have a faulty phone, I am going to try getting mine swapped.

Have you also had trouble with Go SMS on it, dont think they have got it working correctly with ICS yet. Go SMS is fine with me, I downloaded the latest update for it and it's been all good. What issues are you having? Mine has done this a couple of times, also the annoying one is when you switch the phone off it doesn't actually switch off all the time. I think I must have a faulty phone, I am going to try getting mine swapped. I've seen mine reboot in my hands twice, not sure why it did it but I was opening and closing different apps at the time. I've never had it not turn off though. Definitely sounds like you have an iffy one bud. It's an expensive phone so I wouldn't settle for anything but perfection. Scott
Double texts being sent Ahhhh, there's an update for that bud. Came out last week. Samsung made a hash of it but didn't want to admit to it so they just patched an update You want the LP7 firmware, 12/03/

See how fickle I am?
Scott
To be honest I would recommend holding off till the S3. 1.5ghz Quad core and 12mp camera are the rumours.

Its not that far fetched of a possability is it...!

Its not that far fetched of a possability is it...! If you have an iPhone and you are happy with it then I would honestly stick with what you know. I would only ever recommend the S2 to someone who doesn't like being restricted, people who are unhappy with iTunes and the restrictions that apple put in place are much better off with an Android phone. The S2 blows the iPhone out of the water in almost every respect but the iPhones build quality is untouchable, it also has the "I have an iPhone" prestige that some crave. It's horses for courses really. For me the iphone is amazing as a piece of tech but the OS and the manufacturer ties make it a piece of useless tat for me. The SG3 is going to be more of the same. It'll absolutely spank the iPhone5 in every area other than when it comes to build quality and "I have an iPhone".
Scott
Any idea of when that may be? It's all rumours at the moment but they are saying May 2012 at the moment. May/June/July is the normal "new phone" showcasing season.

AndyT
Anyone want to share what they're using to mount one of these in car? Screwed to a panel or universal etc. Cheers in advance folks.

Scott
I got 3 recently (thanks to the free fiver ebay deal thing. I'm over the moon with 2 of them. 1 is this... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Magic-Sticky-Pad-Anti-Slip-Mat-FOR-Phone-mp3-4-PDA-/290585305374?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item43a83be11e Amazingly these work absolutely fantastically. I actually have mine stuck to my steering wheel. This is great for sat-nav and general use but absolutely no good for charging or plugging into an AUX. When I want to charge my phone or listen to audio I have to put the pad on the vents which is quite ugly looking, but it still works flawlessly. 2 is this...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230748155059?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 I just got this one today and I love it. It grips absolutely solid on the windshield and holds the phone very firmly. It can be mounted anywhere on your window so as long as you have wires that can reach it, you can plug it into anything. The 3rd one I got is one of those ones that plug into the cigar lighter and hold their stability based on that. It's fantastic in that it has the charger built in as well as an FM transmitter so that you can tune it into your radio. It all works fine but it just feels fidgity and cumbersome. It's also only ideal for certain cigar lighter locations etc so I wouldn't really recommend it. HTH
AndyT
Thanks guys. 99 quid seems a little high though Scott. I'll try the other anti slip magic thingy. Or get a bluetooth head unit. Hmmm.

If you have a gmail account you can backup your contacts from you Iphone through Itunes to your gmail account. Then Sync the S2 with gmail. Thats what I did, worked fine

TubbyTwo
you can also use Samsung Kies to import your Itunes playslits and music to your phone, as well as the ususal backup and upgrades ets. Kies is basically samsungs Itunes, albeit a slightly more basic, tempremental version
