gavin.starr
What are the tell tail signs of the fuel pump packing in. If i get in my car first thing in a morning after its been left over night. I put the key in the ignition and turn the key, it starts revs kick up to around 1500 rpm and then pretty much instantly die off and it cuts out. Start it again and then ticks over fine. If i put the key in the ignition and let the pump settle for say 10 seconds it starts up first time no probs. I dont know if its just me but my supra doesnt seem to be as quick as it used to be about 6 months ago, so i was just wondering if it slowing on the pump side of things. Elimination of the cheapest before i have to really start digging to find the problem. Gav
Josh
Just wondering, would it feel slower due to it being hotter now? Mine doesn't feel as fast as it did when the weather was freezing. Just a thought..
gavin.starr
It could be a factor in it now, but its been doing it since it was cold. I cleaned out the icv about 2 months ago to see if that would help with the start up idle issue, but it never sorted it.
