Hi guys,Ive just got rid of my GSXR1000 K4 and i was looking to get an R6 for the track and a bit of road work however, ive started looking at the Honda SP1.

ive done my research and i cant seem to find any horror stories however i ride real hard so i need a bike that will take the abuse.

I know the top end of these are no where near my old bike due to the V-Twin,the BHP is around the 133bhp however i just like anyones input on these models

Any info would be fab

Thanks in advance guys!

Tbh I think its quite a heavy bike for trackdays, if I were you id get another gixxer, a 750k8 model. Similar power to the SP, but lighter, more flickable and higher top end. I had an SP for all of two months and didnt get on with it, well built though! I ended up with a TL1000s for fun.

My mate had an SP1 and spent over 10K on it, great bike and quick but he was a bit miffed when he rode my Mille R which had everything standard he had bought for the SP and I still had a slipper clutch which he did not have.

Well thanks everyone however ive ended up with a 2004 r6! had most of the big stuff GSXR1000 K1,GSXR1000K2,GSX1300R,GSX1000K4 and after riding the r6 all the way from cardiff i think its a wicked little bike.topped it out at 169mph which felt weard (used to 186mph) but looking foward to some good trackdays now
