supra dan
still thinking about a supra replacement was looking at one of these. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2969974.htm like the cerbera and tamora too. i know they break down every 5 minutes but people who own them seem to love them, i would only do about 3000 miles a year anyway.and the noise they make is awesom, someone once said they sound like god snoring anyone any experience of them? Jamesy
Ive always wanted a Cerbera - the reliability (or lack of) has put me off so far.... but one day i will get one
bigbloodyturbo
I always wanted a 4.5 cerbera but it would off had to off been the facelift with the updated headlights and they were still silly money. The tuscan is beautiful but not the sort off tvr I would go for. If i change the supra for something tvr'ish it would have to be a sagaris but still big money for what it is (near used m6 money). I read in evo this month that there's a company rebuilding and re-selling tvr's since their demise, they rebuild everything and leave them perfect and even with a warranty for the engine. Suprakeith
I have to say TVR is one the best makes of car around i would love to have and hope in few years to get one, they do brake down abit but the main fault with um is the ecu its rubbish, my snake who have know for years has a tuscan 2 and it keep breaking down he fitted a stand alone ecu and since then she has bin fine and that was 2 years ago also the stand alone got more power out of the engine and it runs so much smoother aswell, and the noise is still just the same
Rob_Mitchell
yeah watch out for engine mounts as they are for ever failing especially the mark 1's, back boxs fall off all the time due to vibration and they just snap off

Abz
Have a good read on the Pistonheads forum, most of the members are TVR owners. Amazing sound, look stunning too! As mentioned reliability & bits falling off is the biggest problem. Saying that, it is what owning a TVR is all about! Some companies work on them now solving all the main issues. They strip & rebuild the engine/gearbox, sort out any other main issues. Think to carry out this work is around the £8k Mark & they provide a warranty too. SilverSoop
I have to admit, I do like the Sigaris but I'd never have one in my opinion because the highways agency would get fed up of seeing me on the hard shoulder
ZippyTT
Had a Supra then a TVR T350t and sold that 6 months ago to get another Supra. The main reason was the arrival of baby. They are lovely cars to drive, a real event when ever you go out in them. Sounds and looks to die for. Everybody looks and want to chat about it. The main reason I sold was the running cost, you have to be prepaired for +-£3000 per year for servicing (yearly or 6000 miles) and general bits and pieces. You cant really do the work yourself as everbody looking for one wants the service history. You also need to be able to afford an engine rebuild if it so happens. I short, great cars but expensive. They can be fantastic but also do your head in. If you have got the money go for it. Spend many hours reasurching on Pistonheads (many, many, many). The TVR community is quite small and someone will know the car. Some nice people but a different from here. Hope this helps. Zippy
