Chris Wilson
Considered? It *IS* I saw PON1S on a beautiful new looking 18 tonne rigid horse box last week, which was nice, as was the driver I used to rent Transits of a bloke called Jim in Sale, Cheshire. he had amongst the rental fleet: NOJ1M GOJ1M SOJ1M TOJ1M HOJ1M KOJ1M Probably a nice little retirement bonus if he sold them. Max Headroom
Ha, I got my own personalised number plate for £60..... went down to the local soliciters and changed my name by deedpoll to Mr L362 SES. Pah!!!111!!!
Attero
I could never justify spending money on a private plate. Besides, my car is distinctive enough as it is, let alone with a private number plate! The local community know who I am when I drive around.

You'd be surprised the difference a private plate makes to the car. Especially one you've had a while

SteveC
When I was just a young lad back in the early eighties, I bought a four-digit personalised number plate. Looking back, totally pointless really, but it's still one of the best investments I ever made.

scotty71
dont see the point in spending the money to make it look like something its not. Have to respace/alter the letters/numbers to me says you cant afford the real deal

PJ
I've got a 'chav' plate on mine http://clubaristo.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=11384&d=1309002404 It's close enough to Aristo for me without trying to make the letters read anything else. It's very effective. It draws the eye away from the front end colour mismatches I'll get my coat.....

I didn't think anything could do that seeing as everyone points that out
Rob
There is a Merc 4x4 thing local to me that has G1 MPS. Now I suspect MPS is the family initials, and no neighbours / workmates have had the will to tell the owner what it really says.
marc_p
Personally, I think a private plate finishes the car, the less letters/numbers the better. Mine: How I used to have it :
Dnk
I've had 2 non prefixed private plates (2900 RU & ADS 22) and made a very nice profit on both so hardly a waste of money

Rob_Mitchell
ROB plates are like £1500-2000 but i have better things to put my money too. as scotty says why pay a fortune for a plate which you have to muck around with to make it look what its meant too.
