Jellybean
Having issues with my daytime driver side light, striped out the loom and tested it against a 10v source Some corrosion on the the wire is causing an issue with the current getting through. I replaced the wire with Core Size (mm): 0.75 Brand: Tower Colour: Black Amps: 6 Volts: 240 http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=9290552&fh_location=//catalog01/en_GB/categories%3C{9372015}/categories%3C{9372042}/categories%3C{9792012}/categories%3C{9792020}/specificationsProductType=flexible__pvc___lsf__cable It worked fine so I put it all back together, after a drive gone again. Is this wire ok to use
bignum
The wire will be fine, have you checked fuses?
Jellybean
The wire will be fine, have you checked fuses? The passengers is working fine, I presume fuse should be OK? The Wire is well insulated, I didnt replace the whole loom becasue it is very well soldered in from Toyota to the plugs; 80% was replaced (the corroded part causing the issue , up to the plug ends I could cut into) Edited June 25, 2011 by Jellybean (see edit history)
