suprasurrey
I`m pretty sure my turbo seals have gone (lots of smoke on idle, only when warm) and I`d like some advice on replacing them. After several searches on here, CR turbos seem to have a good reputation and I have been given some prices from them. My main question is how much of a pain is it to replace the turbos yourself? Does anyone have a rough price for a garage to do the replacement for me? What garage would you recommend in the Surrey area if I chose not to do the job myself? Thanks in advance:d
Kirk
Its not hugely difficult IMO. Ok maybe the first time it is but there isnt really that much that can go wrong. The only thing that ive ever had a problem with is one or two of the manifold nuts as they can be a swine to get in at. Check out tony's old build thread, it has a pretty decent guide with pictures of how to remove them http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?70974-Blitz-twin-turbo-installation Edited June 25, 2011 by Kirk (see edit history)
