Guest wantthatone
thought it might of been a wheel bearing but from what i can see, theres no sign of play, but can smell petrol, is this similar to any one else?calipers were all resealed, & powder coated so im sure the issue isnt this, any one shed any light, as were off on our touring hols soon in the supe so need it tip top:(

Guest wantthatone
hey dude, no its strange, i use motorways most of the week, noticed it going down the slip road to pick up the M5, i went left to right but it made no difference to the accoustics, im at a total loss! thought it might be my window slightly open, or the stereo, but its definatley drivers side rear, all new drop links, all re bushed, all new coil overs. full geo the other month,
mark newman
the humming could be a bee under the wheel arch . just a hunch

Suprab1
Get the car in the air & spin the wheels whilst listening for a worn bearing. If it's just on its way out there might not be noticable play. Droplinks ect will just give you knocking noises. What speeds ist it happening?
Guest wantthatone
it was about 50-60, i can only think it is the bearing, there was an advisorie on the other side at the last MOT but we managed to tighten that, i was aiming to replace the bearings at the same time, but today could not make any noise out, its not trim rubbing. its a mechanical noise if that helps.. just concerned about the smell of fuel, is the fuel pump located there? TopgunTT
As long as you try and sort it before your trip, You never know what it could be especially with the smell of fuel. If you still have the issue in 2 weeks i'm sure they can sort it over the bridge.
