Could you send me the full files of those pics, love to have them on my computer I'm using my new Canon 7D with the Sigma 10-20mm F4-F5.6 lens & a Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 VC - oh and a tripod. Shot in RAW, converted to JPEG and processed in Lightroom 3. Yeah, I think just one of those lenses mentioned was worth more than my previous camera. What I would say though is if you spend £200, if you can lock it down on a tripod and then use the camera's built-in self-timer, you're going to get yourself some magnificent tack sharp shots, no doubt about that. Shall we say chocolate cake? We will have to make you bring your camara to other meets like blue water since your pics are so good, obviously sort you out for your troubles Sounds good.
