caseys
Hardy har ahem http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4511435/ Y'know I even have to correct myself as I meant Chow Yun Fat (hard boiled is in my top 5) Actually Ian, can I ask if your suspension is still absolutely lovely? It hasn't worn much since you fitted it? Having looked at your link and 'about Ian' page now, how do we get to see the movies? Aha well that worked both ways, I wasn't sure if you meant the firearms or the film stuff The suspension is still ace from a bushing point of view, but I've finally decided to remove the old japanese Ohlins shocks & springs, and replace them with Sir Chris of Wilson's setup. I think they will be far far better suited to the scabby worn roads in the UK, and actually improve grip, handling, braking, and acceleration due to a more compliant nature. The Ohlins stuff is great on track as it's made of teak, but on a B road it takes your fillings out as you hop and skip everywhere. Durandal
What does said Chris Wilson setup consist of? I'm going to look over my suspension soon and see if I can improve the ride for the sub par roads around here since I don't track the car. Setup exactly how you want it. Its probably the best setup you'll get but comes at a price of around £1200. From people who have had it done it's worth every penny. Ian C
I'll be installing them myself and getting the alignment done at a local place I've used before to good effect. It's £1200 for just the supply, I think about £1400 or £1500 if CW fits and sets them up himself. More if the suspension components are a pain to unsieze etc as is often the case in these matters. I've got a G-meter and some other forms of datalogging, I might have to do a before-and-after comparison of "caning round a roundabout" and some simple acceleration and braking tests, see if there is a recordable difference. I'm not saying there won't be, but it's very hard to get across personal feelings on how a car handles, and everyone loves a graph
