SupraDan24
When i was in the bodyshop last week, i moved my Electric driver seat as far as it would go forward so i could climb in the back to remove my skirts (I'd done this earlier in the day also with no problems, and in the past). When it was time to leave, i went to move the seat back and for some reason only the side nearest to the handbrake would move backwards, pulling the seat at an angle and preventing the whole seat from moving backward. The side nearerst the door seemed to move a fraction then stop. I managed to get it to go back manually in the end with a ratchett, but after a quick look i couldnt see anything obvious and it didnt appear to have come off the runners as it would still wind back manually no problem. Any ideas as to what may have caused it? Is it just one motor that powers both sides of the seat? I'm offshore at the minute so i cant physically check anything, just want ideas for what to look at when i get home. Cheers Dan
gjp
Look down the side of the seat next to the trans tunnel to see if there is a white plastic screw just smaller than a 10 pence piece, mine fell out when I did this and the seat stopped working. SupraDan24
Did it stop just one side working or the whole seat?
gjp
Just the one side. Screwed it back in and it worked again.
