Guest Sakura
Time to think on lads, my father was killed 2 months ago by a tit lorry driver...my view shoot the lorry drivers and leave the bikers alone....... I'm so sorry to hear that. How absolutely awful for you and your family.
samsupra37
Bit of a rough ride but coping he went on holiday and didnt come home...shock I think you call it. As far as biking goes he and most of his mates were as safe as houses on the roads and it was always the 4 or more wheeled vehicles that caused the problems. In Dads case the guy forgot to check his mirrors even though 6 bikes had been cruising behind him for 2 miles....TWAT. Life goes on......we race again..... Thanks QUOTE=Sakura]I'm so sorry to hear that. How absolutely awful for you and your family.
Gamer
imo most bikers in this country drive like twats with a deathwish. :thumbdown
paulfurn
Usually dont even try to overtake a bike thats going at speed, no matter what it is. I dunno why, maybe I guess its in case the biker thinks "what is that wanker doing trying to keep up with me", which I guess he would be right in thinking for the most part, or maybe out of respect. Maybe I just havent got the balls If he's going quite fast then the last thing he wants is some cunt (me) in a sports car thinking he can have him off. I guess they get enough of that from the "boy racer" crew. Ive been quite lucky really, first time I saw really bad driving on a bike was last week on a motorway when a biker was going from 1st lane (which was also slip road off the motorway) into third lane, then cutting up the car in the second lane (which went straight ahead) to move back in. He did this around 3 times to seperate cars, bloody dangerous and it only got him to the lights about 10 seconds earluier than he would have go there anyway. Really stupid indeed, though I guess youd have to see it really. Aside from that though, I cant really say Ive seen too many idiots, most are courteous and only fly by me when its safe. Pete
Time to think on lads, my father was killed 2 months ago by a tit lorry driver...my view shoot the lorry drivers and leave the bikers alone....... Sorry to hear this..Lorry drivers are often a law to themselves as they're "bigger than everyone else", not just that but they often do bad hours and long stretches meaning they're suffering fatigue. My cousin was killed whilst walking by an idiot in a car a year ago dodging traffic, ignoring signals AND in a bus lane speeding.... then he legged it!! No insurance or anything. He got a 5 year sentance and even appealed only for it to be instantly turned down. I mean, how f'king stupid do you have to be to do ALL the above? Pete
Yeah, I know that feeling mate. It's very scary being a high speed passenger on a bike. Never again. :shudder: Does that mean you forgive my insensitivity earlier?
Jake
Does that mean you forgive my insensitivity earlier? Yeah, of course Pete, goes without saying. We all get a bit tetchy now and then. (me more than most) Us bikers get a bit over-sensitive about car drivers wanting to kill us. We're funny like that
Ian R
I've seen some mad ass bikers and must say i've never had a bigger rush than when I was pillion on the back of my mates Gixer 6 but lets not tar them all with the same brush. How often do we get pissed off (that was the sports cars fault going to fast lark)
samsupra37
Nothing will happen to this lorry driver as New Zealand laws mean he wont get prosecuted....fun huh Sorry to hear this..Lorry drivers are often a law to themselves as they're "bigger than everyone else", not just that but they often do bad hours and long stretches meaning they're suffering fatigue.
