We generally consider £10k to be a starting figure for a basic single Kit supplied, fittedvand mapped on a TT. However, there's many extras that may be required (ie clutch) so it's best to have a few £k set aside for extras. Unless you are prepared to pay £10K+ I'd say don't bother, if you try to do on a budget - using cheap parts - or cut corners - not fit all supporting mods required - you will end up with either an unfinished project or a car that is unreliable that will end up costing you far more to put right.
