Scooter
it's not as easy as stating models, it was optional on all the early cars so you just have to ask or see the engine bay to tell, saying that all facelift model na's will have ABS.......and no, retro fitting is a complete non starter from an economics point of view, far better to get it from the off if you 100% want it. gazza w
ahh i see, right okay! is it really needed? if the brakes are uprated to the uk specs then would they be alot better?? and thus not need the ABS??
Scooter
Well with good tyres you do have to really stomp on the pedals to get locking up, but tbh i personally would have it, but then if the car you are looking at is good in all other respects then it may be worth going for. I wouldn't say the brakes are any better with it per se, it just makes that, emergency stop on a cold wet monday morning when you might not be fully concentrating, an actual good emergency stop and not a skidding out of control/crash scenario. Homer
I agree with Scooter. If you have the larger brake option it's even more important as it's much easier to lock the fronts at speed.
