My van doesn't have an alarm but was told by a local car audio installer these are what they fit, it uses your current ford key fob to activate. They charge £250 plus the vat to fit these so I wondered if anyone has fitted one how hard are they? It would save me £200 to fit this myself.

Used to fit these a lot, not too difficult. Most of the block connectors are within easy reach, not much soldering to do either. I'd set aside a weekend to get it perfect if you've never done one before. Get a multimeter, some solder & heatshrink. Don't twist & tape the wires, its just a nasty bodge that wont last 5 minutes.

Need any help, drop me a PM.

Ok will do, thank you. Instructions look like it just plugs into the existing wiring, then run cables for the door sensors etc.

If its a multiplexed system then your laughing, plug and play, + a couple of wires to the -12 side of the pin switches. If it's an older
