Rookey
Hey all, I'm planning on returning my windscreen wipers today, and have started on the removal process but am a little confused... I've undone the top bolt of the nearside side front arm, but still no movement... Is there a bolt I can't see underneath it somewhere? Cheers Dave
bradleyh_15
Check out the technical guides there is one there on how to take them off and refurb them!
Rookey
Cheers I was following the guide but couldn't see any mention of a bolt beneath the fixture...
merckx
There's only one nut, the shaft and wiper seat are tapered so they are a tight fit. Undo the nut, put the wiper in the position away from the screen (just like you do when you wash the car) , then get a hold of the arm near the base and jiggle it from side to side to break the seal. Edited June 8, 2011 by merckx nut not bolt (see edit history)
bradleyh_15
They probably haven't been taken off before and they are open to the elements so probably a little stiff or rusted on a little! I have to do mine at some point to as mine are in a bad way!
