Scooter Posted June 7, 2011 Share Posted June 7, 2011 self adjusting but the tensioner can go......should be some markers visible from above on the bit that mounts to the block......a line on the tensioner should be between two other lines on the block or plastic casing (or vice versa) if its outside then the belt has stretched (or is/was the wrong length) or the tensioner has weakened. Posted June 8, 2011 Author Share Posted June 8, 2011 Got alternator delivered today put it on no probs wroked out how to fit fan belt adjusting tensioner no probs,started her up perfect so then tweaked all nuts/bolts up tight and top bolt for alternator snaps FFS,anyway mr toyota in morning for new one with nut on back for good measure the joys of supra ownership,still love my car after 4 years and would'nt want anything else!!
