neo1
what the hell is going on..... my friends stock FQ330 was glued to my supra's rear bumper upto 90mph last night before i started making good ground on him..... Anyone else got experience of FQ330's To me they seem extremely fast to 90. I was running 1.12 Bar on Hybrids One thing that seems clear is that the FQ's have NO lag and perfect gearing.... Ouch
SupraTT2004
those evo's are very quick car.
Bobbeh
Well its a lighter car than the Supra with just as much BHP. Wheres the suprise?!
SupraTT2004
well exactly and arent they 4 wheel drive as well. so that will be why. BHP and 4 wheel drive.
The Hornet
The 4 wheel drive will help with traction at low speeds, but you actually loose power from it over all.

neo1
Problem is my supra is over the 400 Bhp mark ? Think it just comes down to power / weight / grip ratios ...... when the supra got dug in i started making good ground. Just a bit of a shock thats all. michael
Problem is my supra is over the 400 Bhp mark ? I'd still have my money on the EVO unless it was a top end race I'm afraid.
hadyn
0-60 in 4.4 - it will have you under 90 mph http://www.autoroadtests.com/car.php?make=(14)&range=(26)&model=(336)&gen=VIII%20(03%20-%2004) to put it in perspective my auto supe is about 380 ish bhp at the fly and manages 0-60 in about 4.
Bobbeh
I believe if you'd have seen much more of a difference over 90mph. Power to weight will favour the Evo at the lower speeds especially due to the close ratio gears and 4WD it has... are you auto?

Don't know much about all the different types but my mates Evo6 will always without a doubt do me to 60 but i will eventually catch up and overtake at about 100. Problem is how often do you get to race to over 100 ! soooo irritating.
hadyn
Over 60s rolling start and you should obliterate the evo though

Suprasteve
I love the Advantage's of owning a fast bike as well a car Especially when a car tries it on i tried it on with a bike yesterday, i have absolutely no idea what it was, it looked sporty and had 2 exhausts (i sound like my mum "it was red and had 2 wheels"). probably just playing with me but i stayed with him to 100. most likely he didn't even know i was behind him
The Hornet
For more info on bike's - check out a thread I did in the driving chronicles a few months back. Back on topic - And dont try it on with the FQ400 they too quick for us TT's - you need to be single for those... (or a bike )
letmeshowyou
also, was it as wet where you are last night as it is here?!
AntD
I read on the recent Optimax card for the EVO that the FQ means F$%*in Quick ,lol

Guest dee_rz
you should NOT have a problem with an fq 330 trust me, my sister boyfriend has one and i'll always beat him with no problems on the roll and i have similar power to you when i'm running 1.0 bar which is what i usually run, don't race him to 60 from standing
Guest Waltsinhull
This looks like as good a place as any to start causing trouble... I have an Evo 8, but only the baby one (260 bhp) - mine is restricted in first gear, which means that you will be gone but then I will catch you! Seriously though, the Evos are, if anything, a bit hampered off the line by their electronic trickery (active yaw control and traction control) which tend to bog it down on a launch; but once rolling they have a terrifying turn of speed and you would need a lot more than standard power in your Supra to keep up with a 300/320/330/340. I don't bugger about much with other drivers but on the odd occasion that I have it is the rate that you catch up which bewilders most of them! michael
This looks like as good a place as any to start causing trouble... Hello and welcome to the forum! Interesting feedback re the launch as that's something I really wouldn't have expected, does the 260 have the same gubbins as the higher powered models when it comes to all the gizmos? michael
oh its a FQ 400 - be afraid
Robert
- be afraid im pretty sure ive got about 460-480BHP in this new supra and with the 3800 torque converter installed it would be fun, or am i wasting my time?
