Dyer864
Hi all ! Few weeks ago, my horn give up the ghost after breaking an earth wire after fitting an after market steering wheel ! got the wire attached again, but soon as i press the horn the fuse blows an auto electrician was just going to run a seperate switch, but after inspecting the horn, it wasn't from the horn on steering wheel to the fuse box, it was from the fuse box to horn siren itself ! Disconnected horn siren , but he has asked if there is a second horn hidden away somewhere under the front by rad. as he couln't work it out why the fuse box was showing an error. but didn't av time to go any further as he was doing me a fav. just aving a look Is there a second Horn siren , and located where please
merckx
There are two. I'm not sure if the orientation is correct as sometimes they're different on left hand drive cars. Edited June 4, 2011 by merckx (see edit history)
Dyer864
I've taken the left hand side one off, so the one in the middle is the bugger ! Thanks merckx
Lude
yep 2 horns, i have also removed one of mine. (as it was bright red & stood out like a soor thumb) on my old car, someone had cut the wire off by the steering column so coudnt activate the horn inside the car. so i just ran a wire direct from the horn to the car & earthed. all a horn needs is 12v posotive to sound, so just make the steering wheel button the switch in the circuit Edited June 5, 2011 by Lude (see edit history)
