T2 MSW
£180 for the rotor dyno for 2 hours?? Did SRR not used to be £40 and hour? I recall paying about £75/80 for the dyno when Ryan mapped mine.
mikeyh
i take it you pay tdi £180 and then ryan the remaining figure for the map etc. what is the likely cost a a remap?
T2 MSW
i take it you pay tdi £180 and then ryan the remaining figure for the map etc. what is the likely cost a a remap? Thats normally the deal, just £180 for the dyno seems mega expensive to me - I know its one of the only few in the country but really? JamieP
Its worth it imo, its a mega dyno, you wont get the same quality of map from a rolling road, rollers just cant load the car hard enough to account for a 5th/6th gear pull on the road. JamieP
What time is this Jamie? Long way for me to get down there but I want Ryan to map mine if he's still doing AEM FIC's I want the morning slot, not sure how long it will take Ryan, couple of hours i guess. dude
Thats normally the deal, just £180 for the dyno seems mega expensive to me - I know its one of the only few in the country but really? Its prob close to £100,000K worth of dyno, its a Rototest rated as prob the worlds best, £180 for 2 hours is cheap.
dude
I want the morning slot, not sure how long it will take Ryan, couple of hours i guess. Mine will prob be ready for the dyno by then JP its all running and sounding great.

Lee P
The TDI dyno was around £250,000 from what Sam was telling me, as Jamie says you won't get the same quality of mapping on a dyno dynamics.
Ryan.G
What times? I've been told your not mapping AEM FIC's any more? Be from 12-4 After looking at your setup i wouldn't want to even chance it with an Aem FIC on a build like that. Needs a full standalone! Sorry i cant help mate but i dont understand why people spend thousands on an engine and then finish it off with a piggyback ecu. Piggybacks are fine for BPU's but not a big twins or single project. Its like building a house and then not putting the roof on it! Ryan
Ryan.G
Hi Mike I hire out TDI every month at the moment for all the big power stuff. Its £90 an hour to hire it out and thats from when the wheels start turning. Ryan
