Chinese billet cranks and rods

The makers of these keep pestering me by e-mail to sell them, it now seems they have found themselves a UK re-seller. Personally I like to be able to visit where my cranks and rods are made and know they have quality control in place,, but for the more adventurous, I give you:

China made stuff is improving all the time , they do learn !! companies like Boeing are outsourcing more each year , this leads to better QC control systems and support manufacture for a whole host of areas , once a factory turns out one product and has the facility up to spec they then turn to other products of the back of the main items

They then price out the existing western manufacturers and swamp the world ,as so many people want cheap they win ....

Agree, there is huge investment into ultra modern factories in China. The company producing these may already be producing parts for some of the big car manufacturers who will have their own quality control people in the factory testing labs. A low volume item like this I guess will be in their own product range, they'll have taken an existing product on the market and copied it, how tightly they control their own product quality is anyones guess, not a gamble I'd take with my own engine and not something I would be confident in selling on, as there'd be zero comeback if it did let go.
