cje001
Autogylm (spelling?) works great for me, the red polish. I always T Cut my car when i first get it, the polish, then finish with a spray on polish like turtlewax and buff. Always just used cloths not buffers and my cars have always come out really nice. peter richards
well the combos i use regularly are duragloss clearcoat polish for my sealant , easy on and off , followed by dodo waxes depending on what colour your car is , or supernatural top end wax or sonax carnauba , very underated wax punches way abouve its weight. shampoo ive used for years is sonax gloss shampoo
Lbm
hi first time not really that exciting need help on best polish to use tried all sorts never get it right cheers hello all: I wonder if technique is important too? Lbm
I suspect that talented person A with average polish may outshine untalented person B using Dodo Champagne juice etc... Anyway, I am probably verging on insulting the Op here and that's not really what I intend.
peter richards
thats the trouble , its not rocket science , two tips clay and less is more with the polish , whatever you use
TubbyTwo
polish , they are a pita and ruining the business with crap services LOL Trying to explain the difference to people about the difference between a £5 wash and a £150+ detail becomes highly tedious i find... I just give up now.
The Raven
Yes yes but does a £150+ detail add swirls? WELL DOES IT????? NO!!!! My local £7 one does, which therefore is worth all £7 pounds. I figure that if you where to take a new car there once every 2 weeks within 8 monhts the cars finish would be shot to the point of needing a full detail. I did a friends Bora a while back, was swirl city on there. he couldnt believe the results and was over the moon. gave it the full works then machine corrected, then sealed and waxed with FK. almost 2 days work. Saw it last night now his mrs is driving it and its in a right state. She has been getting it washed at one of these "give me a £5 and i will use neat TFR on the whole car". its a mess, whatever has been used was far to strong, plus its swirled again and you can see where its been dried with a waterblade. More hard work for me coming up I feel. I was so annoyed I actually offered to wash the car for her for £5 with decent stuff rather than let it fall into the hands of the car park paint rapers again. cje001
t-cut! 'shudders at the thought' Always works great for me when i first get a car, hit it with a bit of tcut, nothing major, just hand work and no pushing on too hard etc... Just takes it a bit back and then can work on polishing decent paint
