bobapple
Hey probably another silly question but , but am I ok to change the clips circled in the picture, for jubilee clips as those ones keep shredding my hands when polishing my pipe work . So if I can which are good ones as I have heard halfraud's are not that good to put it politely ( in none sweary terms ). Thanks Si
pedrosixfour
Jubilee is a brand name for a particular hose clip manufacturer. So your original question is a bit silly to be fair. And yes, it would be safe to change to hose clips, made by Jubilee, as I personally find them the best option (least likely to slip) for that particular type of hose clip. Chris Wilson
Those little spring clips are actually very effective (and not just at slicing your hands open). They impart a very even pressure on small OD hoses, something a Jubilee type clip isn't particularly good at in small sizes due to the larger percentage of the screw support area V banding arae. If they really bug you O clips put on neatly with the correct tool are very good, but have to be cut off to remove the pipe. http://www.jj-pneumatics.com/acatalog/Jubilee-O-Clips.html http://www.tools-supplies.co.uk/oetiker-o-clip-crimping-tool-3974-p.asp
Scott
Keep the clips, just rotate them away from where you are polishing
