Chris Wilson Posted May 28, 2011 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Perfectly OK, any branded ethylene glycol based antifreeze is fine, The only reason for the red stuff, (which is ethylene glycol based with a litmus type red dye in it), is if you leave it in long enough to go sour (acidic) it will change colour as a warning. We are talking leaving it in for years here. You can probably change ordinary stuff about 4 times before approaching the price of the red nectar. If you want to spend money on funny coolants you'd be better off getting Water Wetter.
