05 fiesta st vs NA auto

Hi guys,

Just recently got my NA auto supra which I am over the moon with. So as you do I took my best mate out in it to show it off. Now being abit of a 'hooner' himself, he seems to think he ST is quicker. Now admittly I showed him the supra in fully auto mode with overdrive which doesn't use the full potential of the engine but hey I was takin it easy!

Just FYI he has an 05 prefacelift fiesta st no mods so 143bhp and 7.9s to 60. Now I can't find any concrete data on NA 0-60 and top speed etc but surely a fiesta is nowhwere near as quick?! I'm not going to race him but I just want to shut him up so give me some help please! :)

Depending on how you launch the car, and how good you are at launching it, you should have him from the off. Mid 7s are acceptable in an N/A when going for it, he will find hitting 60 in 7.9 very difficult due to traction issues (being FWD).

The cars with good drivers, the N/A would have him at every point.

It lies in your hands though ;)

If your driving at speed remember weight is against you give urself a run up as these cars a heavy with no turbo, I had a Jag yesterday and when I over took it put its foot down, due to having a slight run up I was well away giving it no chance ;)
