Supragal
Direct Access - straight to big bikes, no pussying around with the little ones first
salvatore
Paul - DA = Direct Access - so old(ish) buggers like me can do a quick 3 day course, take thier test and ride any size bike they want Roy - Cheers m8! Will defo be taking it easy to start with - quite a few ponys per pound there i'll wager...Bird i'm seeing at the mo. wants to ride pillion - she'll just have to wait i guess

The Hornet
Good luck on DA matey. Nice bike too. Dont forget to run her in properly 1500 miles and 1st service @ 500miles Hate running new bikes in, just p*sses me off but I keep buying new ones every 2-3 years Just put 2 new tyres on me VTR1000, more scuffing in for 100 miles.... Is nice to see others who also like bikes as well as cars.
Nick
I bought a GSX-R600 K5 myself a couple of months ago. I can recommend the tri-oval Yoshi, sounds great It's a tad quicker than the GS500 I learnt on...
cashpoint
Heard of direct access how old do you need to be to do it or is it any age. Sounds like asking for trouble. So you do the course then take a test. Is the test a special test or a normal bike test?
Pete
Well done! Hope you didn't like all your limbs anyway.
Bobbeh
Congrats m8 Sounds like a nice bike!! Hope you have fun on it... dont do a Chris eh
SkyJawa
How much was your 3 day DA mate, I'm gonna be doing this soon then on to a ZX6R, just gotta shift the Skyline first!
The Hornet
for the DA you need to be 21 to be allowed to ride any size bike after you pass, or you will still be restricted. Around where I live a 3 day course inc. bike hire and test is approx. 325 - £
carl0s
speaking of bikes.. my mate has just picked up an old Honda CBX 750 (C-reg). He swears it'll beat my BPU (~15psi) UK spec Supra. *from a rolling 80mph start*. What do ya think?
BigRoy
I think he takes more drugs than you! CBX bwahhahaaaaaaa

salvatore
Thanks for the encouraging comments guys - really stoked to get it! Just spent the majority of the morning getting insurance quotes - not as bad as i originally thought they would be... She's got a yoshi can on as part of the limited edition spec BTW (with a removable baffle ), also blue chain (!), glod anodized chain tensioners, special gorrved discs and slightly different coloured livery. WELL CHUFFED!
salvatore
Crap - my spelling/typing really needs improving! That's 'gold', not 'glod', and grooved instead of gorrved. Not really an idiot, honest!
