Dnk
wheels are ok, hubs also. what do you guys mean by "seized" - I cannot understand what are you talking about? You mean something like looze? Please describe me I'll try to explain, in the lower front wishbones there are 2 rubber bushes with steel inserts into which the eccentric adjusters fit, the eccentric adjuster and steel bush over a period of time lock together or seize due to there being no grease or copper slip on them. Ok, now I understand. I took out wishbones about a year ago with no problems. Bushes seemed to be fine but who knows - maybe I really should change a whole set. What about those parts numeber and R2 bushings Ive mentioned above? thanks for the help guys really, in poland we dont have any specialist in supra related stuff
Dnk
Not sure on the part numbers, Nic is your man for that You could try Steve Manley for the parts you need, he is a very good parts guy at Toyota in Oxford, i use him for all my Toyota parts. If you change everything like i did you'll have a shock though as its not cheap, my last price was not that long ago and the retail prices inc vat are Front upper arm was £430 each Front lower arm was £230 each When we checked all my suspension we had the car on a ramp with all the wheels off the ground and then had 1 guy move the wheel side to side and up and down with another underneath looking and feeling for any movement in either the bushes or ball joints Edited May 27, 2011 by Dnk (see edit history)
krisso_pl
Ok. I got a quote from US... almost 3000$ plus shipping for that list of parts. Seem like its cheaper here in Poland in my local dealer but its still over 1500Ł. I thought that maybe its time to go harder route and buy a set of R2 bushings for all the arms, set for stabilizers, set for the steering column and look for some new coilovers. What do you guys think? Anybody here with R2 bushings or other poliurethane bushings? What other bushings would be good to replace? Diff ? or maybe rubber W58 mount since its vibrating a bit... ? Dnk
The trouble is you cant change the ball joints which are on all the lower and upper wishbones. I've also heard the bushes aren't anywhere near as good as the ones used in the Toyota arms.

There is a suspension service here and they can do it with no problem. I am reading a thread on sf.com where guy changed all the bushings to R2- waiting for his opinion on the ride
Dnk
I've not heard of anyone here in the UK replacing the ball joints on the stock arms. If they can be done cost effectively then great as that could save a lot of money if the bush kit is any good.
