jmcc42uk
Hi Guys, Got my Supra on Saturday and was totally blown away by it. (Expect thread soon) One thing strikes me as a bit odd though - When I start it up from cold, the idle goes straight to about 600-700 rpm and stays there, feels like it's struggling and there is no automatic choke happening at all. There is also a good bit of vibration unless you bring the revs up above 1000 rpm and hold it there till the engine warms up. Yet when it's up to operating temp the idle sits at 1200rpm which seems a tad high, almost like it's doing things the wrong way round. Anyone experienced this Thanks Jon
Guest wantthatone
like you say, seems backwards. they normaly idle at 1200/1300 from cold then drop down, i remember someone saying theres improved after cleaning the 02 sensors, theres a thread on how to do it on here mate.. Swampy442
Id look at the idle control valve first, seeing as it controls the idle speed
