Abz
Going single eh? I remember Adnan used a south bend clutch on his 550bhp Supra & I think he highly rated it. Plus if I remember correctly it wasn't too expensive either. Have a google dude.
aman00123
I think the ones mentioned for that power range are Competition, RPS and Southbend no idea on which models or anything though
spiderpigcity
RPS 2 street clutch $720 from MVP plus $60 postage. MVP and Boostlogic run these clutches in their cars, but you are on the border of twin plate. They will also do you the flywheel bolts and bearings and snap rings for $150 which is cheap. RPS fit with OEM fittings too. MVP use FEDEX 3 day delivery as well.
Scott
Border of twin plate? How do you explain the single plate 760lbs southbend clutch?
spiderpigcity
speak to any clutch specialist who make clutches and not the hype claimed from these companys who just make stronger springs and beefier discs than stock. there is a lot more to it that clamp pressure etc. you can only apply so much pressure on a single disc before it becomes and on and off switch and puts pressure on the crank. speak to the clutch specialists like helix etc they will explain it better. my opinion is that at 550-600 bhp+ a twin disc arrangement would be better on the left foot and give your tranny an easier time. Scott
I know that's the way things used to be. If you have a look at the southbend website they explain how they make it possible. It isn't heavy or an on-off switch either. I have only read of one unhappy customer (Imi) who has had a bit of a hard time with his.

heckler
Competition Clutch here, works fine on my single bit stiffer than normal - only problem is you'll need the flywheel to go with it which goes over your budget.
bignum
Centreforce dual friction for me, feels just like stock and handles that power all day long, around the £500 mark too.

I'm on southbend too. its not heavy at all but not really my cup of tea, its like you have to wait for the clutch to be in the right position to change gear. Just doesn't feel like what it used to be... About 2k old.

johnny g
My RPS is stiff, but I've heard decent things on SF about the Horsepower Freaks Bronze clutches. Nothing firsthand though.
