David P
(I understand this information is on the site, yet reference appears secondary to gossip.) My N/A has a 3" exhaust system with no catalytic converters and today passed the MOT with flying colours.
Josh
Supposedly the 2JZ-GE isn't registered on the system they use for the MOT so it goes under a generic test so they would pretty much all pass. Nice one
David P
It'll be even nicer when it becomes 2JZ-GZE.

Awisto
(I understand this information is on the site, yet reference appears secondary to gossip.) My N/A has a 3" exhaust system with no catalytic converters and today passed the MOT with flying colours. All depends on year, if they can find the exact model in the database, the MOT tester etc Any well maintaned, fuel injected car should have no probs passing the emissions But well done. Maybe if they were pre-2001, but anything later will need it's cat to pass.
Josh
It'll be even nicer when it becomes 2JZ-GZE. Is that a triple turbo version of the 2JZ-GTE?

scotty71
my MOT guy has stated there is no data for my 94 TT (full BPU) so will just test it on idle and it will pass and well done to the OP
Attero
As said many times, 93-94 N/A's can pass without any cats. What year is yours?
jon5698
If there is no Uk equivelent for the car being tested they only do a fast idle test, my Starlet GT turbo, EK9 and Evo 4 all past with de cats on.
David P
Mine is registered January 1995. I would think that when it goes back next year with the supercharger on, it will get the same privilege because the engine will still be a GE.
