Nic
Sounds like turbo shaft seals. Could possibly be valve stem seals, but it would almost certainly have shown this before the turbo change. Ask them in writing if the turbo is made in the USA or the far east (probably China?), and see what they say, I am sorry to say I would think your issues are a turbo one. Based on the price of the turbo I'd guess it's a rebranded Chinese made one.
ksbkrew
so here are the news i dissassemble all to locate my problem so what i see 1) no blue smoke on start 2) blue smoke comes after one or two minutes and pulls off the exhaust every time i put the feet on the accel pedal 3) no oil at all in the intake 4) no oil at all in the fmic piping 5) when i remove the two littles hoses from the cam covers, no smokes coming from it 6)the hot side of the turbo is full of oil (pic 1) 7) there 's a sort of a protection just the rear of the exhaust wheel and it's moving (pic 2) http://img600.imageshack.us/img600/5173/img0386he.jpg http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/1343/img0387ny.jpg so for me it's or a dead turbo or valve steam seals thats have been destroyed
aman00123
Thats your turbo oil seals bud - if the exhaust housing is 'wet' then the seals have gone and oil is leaking into your turbo and coming out of your exhaust as blue smoke You can either get the seals replaced or get a new tubby - personally I would go back to OBX and say the seals are buggered and see what they say
ksbkrew
it can't be the valve steam seals for you? i think if not i will get a T61 either than an other obx
aman00123
I really doubt it's stem seals, but I'd rather another member confirms it first. I'm 99% certain it's the turbo oil seals, either it came like that or something got into your turbo from the manifold or wherever and punctured the seal
ksbkrew
you're right about the turbo... i just remove the hotside to look into the manifold. Not a penny of oil into it http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/8442/img0388pi.jpg and when i look into the hotside, i can see taht the oil leak began near the compressor wheel http://img864.imageshack.us/img864/8017/img0389d.jpg i'm gonna buy a precision T61 either than this holy s..t of OBX
