Robzki
Plugs go in the top, oil filter on the side, old oil comes out the bottom and new oil goes in the top. Have a search in the faqs etc there are a lot of good tech guides on here. My fuel filter was a biatch to get undone btw, and the oil filter isn't the easiest to get to with phat fingers

Robzki
Its all straightforward if you take your time and a little bit mech' minded. If you are at all worried then best to take it somewhere(trustworthy) as they shouldn't charge much. But if you like learning then you shouldn't have too much trouble. it is the most basic of things to attempt on any car. For future reference its best to make your thread titles a little bit more specific than 'help please' etc. its an annoyance round here, for good reason

stevie_b
Do you have a TT or NA? The oil filter is more fiddly on the TT, but there's a plastic bag trick I'd recommend (for both NA and TT: neither are easy to get to) to help with it. You loosen the old filter until you can move it with your fingers, then put a plastic carrier bag over it, then continue to undo it until the filter drops into the bag. You can then push the bag down and withdraw it from underneath the car.

Robzki
The oil filters not too bad on a TT, IF you unbolt the Power steering reservoir first. Really? I've never had issues getting the oil filter out with everything else in place. I fitted a sandwich plate/sensors etc recently without unbolting anything.
