caseys
Thanks for bringing it back to the sandwich theme. I haven't tried it actually - do they do a ladies version? Actually not that I've seen, I bought a friend a jar of it from Sainsburys, it's so whiffy you can in fact even smell it through the hermetically sealed container. I suppose it's the tabasco equivalent of fish pate, it really does smell like it'd knock your socks off. 'Delicious on toast' according to the outside of the jar. To again return to the sandwich theme - if I in fact ever run out of bacon, I am partial to a Salt & Vinegar Crisp & Strawberry jam sandwich - tastes like chinese swear and sour and the weird sticky/crunch to it is an experience everyone must cherish at least once. stevie_b
Has anyone tried a Gentlemen's Relish sandwich? No, thankfully I've stayed out of prison so far.
Charlotte
I like beetroot and salad cream sandwiches. The beetroot turns the salad cream a nice pink colour. Lovely! Woah - Is that not like a complete vinegar overload?!

Strawberry and crisps?! Chinese Swear and Sour?! This thread is a revelation! I used to like rocky biscuits in a sandwich.
Charlotte
I've just had a Goats cheese and red pepper (Limited Edition) sandwich from Sainsburys, which was quite nice. Oooh that sounds nice - I like their prawn and rocket sandwiches, very nice prawns.

I even got the recipe published in Computing Weekly If we're talking sweet sandwiches I think the taste explosion which pushed it over the edge for me was Nutella, Kit Kat and spreadable marshmellow. Satisfies all sugar cravings for the day I've also wondered how good a fried sandwich would be - i.e. make your sandwich, pin it together with something and then cover it in batter and whap it in the fryer for a little while. Haha - excellent work! I actually feel sick thinking about all that sweetness. Sounds like I could manage a mouthful or two though. You need to have a look at 'epic mealtimes' on youtube if you haven't already seen it. They do fried sandwiches, funnily enough on an epic scale. Sometimes sweet stuff, most of the time savoury. Sounds up my street akin to Man Vs Food then As a side note - I will publish a thread when a few of us do our 'Ultimate BBQ' next month, where currently we have I think 13 different animals for the BBQ Also regarding the bacon sandwich - for all bacon lovers - http://store.baconsalt.com/ - just ordered one of everything. bacon flavoured mayonnaise I think would be good in a bacon sandwich. Charlotte
A little like Man V Food but a bit more silly. I think you might like one of my favourite blogs:- Skulls and Bacon I like the skulls rather than the bacon bits.

How on earth did I not stumble across this site? Not too fussed by the skulls, but those socks are awesome. One thing that I wish I could find but sadly I doubt I ever will is Bacon Coke Anyway I digress, let the sandwiching continue.
RedM
Grilled Tempeh (or Tofu) that's been marinaded in Tamari, hummus, beansprouts, a couple of thin slices of tomato and a dash of vegan mayo all stuffed into a pitta with some Falafel. I win.
