Branners
Great news, Sky Insurance have helped us find an insurance policy to cover drag racing competitors should the event get rained off. There are some very very specific criteria to get a payout so read carefully, I will say zis only once... 1. This applies to drag competitors only. Drift and spectator tickets will not be refunded in the event of a rain off. 2. If you do 1 single run before 1pm and we have to cancel due to rain then you do not get a refund. So if we open at 10am, you do a run at 10.15am and then it rains for the rest of the day you will not get a refund, but those that have NOT done a run will. 3. Your refund will be issued via paypal only. Anybody paying on the day for drag racing will NOT be covered. Look to the sky before you buy... 4. Refunds will be issued and we will then claim from the insurance company for the amount refunded up to the value of £4,000. 5. If drag racing runs up to 1pm and is then rained off then no refunds (its the 180 minute rule as per previous years). So you do no runs in the morning but plan on doing them after a hearty lunch and it rains then no refund. The tickets we will issue on the day for drag sign on will contain similar wording. Here's why, we have to show that refunds were publicised before the event, that it is in the terms and conditions for the drag racing, that refunds have been issued after the event and that only those who did not get on the track before it rained get their money. Soon as you hit the track your chance of a refund disappears. Yes, slightly odd but thats how the refunds are working, and its better than nothing which is where we thought we would be. Bit thanks to David at Sky for sorting this out for us and for covering the cost of the policy.
