pedrosixfour
In the market for a AFR meter and this popped up. http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270660136399 Seems like a pretty good deal to me. Thought I'd see if sane people agreed!
Lee_e
I was going to order the exact same one a while ago, I heard AEM are good, Judging by the sellers feedback id say give it a go... only reason i didnt buy it was lack of funds after i had to replace my water pump
aman00123
Yea I saw that too, just be careful on import duty/tax or buy the UK supplied on for about £30 more
Scott
Pretty sure they were getting a bit of stick recently. I can't remember what for, think it was something that had happened in the US. Maybe the tip giving way? Prior to that I would have said AEM was the most recommended.
aman00123
Either way you can get an AEM or an Innovate LC-1 for about £150 on ebay at the moment
pedrosixfour
I've bought parts from the US before (W58 rebuild kit and also a clutch & flywheel kit) and there were no extra charges to be paid upon delivery. Does that mean these import duties don't apply to me ever due to location or whatever, or was I just lucky?
Westy
Price looks good, but as stated you could get hit with import tax etc which would nullify the cost saving of buying here!? I did hear something about AEM also, but I think they are still highly regarded and widely used.
pedrosixfour
The meter arrived about 20 minutes ago, it looks to be all there. Good news is there were no hidden taxes or charges to be paid prior to delivery so to maintain my status as a tax haven I'm thinking about officially declaring myself as a break-away Republic! Viva la revolutions per minute!
